Lincoln did his best to end the abomination called slavery.

Obama is doing his best to lead us into financial slavery.

Lincoln gave us the Emancipation which set men free.

Obama is giving us a government free of morality and ignorant of God.

Lincoln swore a solemn vow with his hand upon the Bible.

Obama put his hand on the very same Bible and lied.

Because of men like Lincoln God blessed and prospered this great nation.

Because of men like Obama God has pronounced judgement upon this once great nation.

In response to AHP re: "Lincoln did his best to end the abomination called slavery." (and with no opposition to the rest of their post.)...

I read an excerpt from "The Facts Historians Leave Out" (by John S. Tilley) over at Lady Abigail's Soap Box that argues Lincoln wasn't concerned about the slaves at all. One paragraph in her post is an apparent quote of Lincoln, to wit, "My paramount objective in this struggle is to save the Union, and it is not either to save or destroy slavery. If I could save the Union without freeing any slaves, I would do it, if I could save it by freeing all the slaves I would do it."

Many of us from the North (including me) were raised to see Lincoln as one of the best two presidents ever... after all, what other Presidents besides Washington and Lincoln have their birthday's on the Calender? In fact, it would seem Lincoln did a number of things that we as liberty minded patriots would condemn if they happened today.

I don't write this to criticize AHP, but rather in the hopes that each of us will generally be more critical in our thinking.

Best regards to all here.
