Quote of the Day

From ABC News: "Rep. Steve Cohen, D-Tenn, an Obama supporter, compared Clinton to the Glenn Close character in "Fatal Attraction" -- a spurned woman turned stalker who was apparently drowned in a bathtub only to jump up one more time to be shot dead."

Disclaimer: I'm not an Obama support...but this is STINKIN' FUNNY!!!

That's How I Remember It

I haven't had the opportunity to write anything lately because I've been out-of-pocket, so to speak. I couldn't say anything at the time, but now that I'm home, I can safely tell you that I spent the last couple of days at the International Space Station.

I know a guy that knows a guy and he was able to get me a stand-by ticket. We left Friday afternoon and hooked up with the Space Station that evening. Talk about AWESOME!!! They had a special dinner all ready for us when we got there and then they gave us a tour. Man, they've got some really cool gadgets up there in space! Saturday morning, they took us on a space walk and I got to help them work on some of the solar panels. (I'm qualified to do that because I've seen the sun before.) Saturday afternoon was spent in the laboratory working on some experiments--we built a perpetual motion machine, found a cure for cancer in white mice and developed a face cream that will take 20 years off your appearance.

After a very nice brunch Sunday morning, we packed and headed back home. As we were landing in Florida, we were told there might be sniper fire, so when we got off the shuttle, we had to run very quickly to the hanger! All in all though, it was a really nice trip. One thing taht was disappointing: they didn't have food or drink service on the Space Shuttle which I thought was kinda cheap!

The above story may or may not be true, but if Hillary can get away with it...

Hands On

In an interview on the Today Show this morning, former President Clinton was asked what his role would be in the White House should his wife become President. "I won't be on the Cabinet, but I will be hands on."

He didn't mention "who" his hands would be on.

Hillary Taketh Away

Just in case you missed this one:

Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton said Sunday she might be willing to garnish the wages of workers who refuse to buy health insurance to achieve coverage for all Americans. The New York senator has criticized presidential rival Barack Obama for pushing a health plan that would not require universal coverage. Clinton has not always specified the enforcement measures she would embrace, but when pressed on ABC's "This Week," she said: "I think there are a number of mechanisms" that are possible, including "going after people's wages, automatic enrollment (Source)
